Kurds Want Jordanian Businesses to Invest More in KurdistanThe loan guarantees are targeted to Iraqi companies that qualify as small and medium enterprises. The guarantees will be up to a maximum of 75% of the loan amount.
ICBG will guarantee loans ranging from USD 5,000 up to a maximum USD 250,000. The company charges a 2.0% guarantee fee in addition to a USD 100 non-refundable application fee.
Guaranteed loans may have a tenor of up to five years, with repayment structured to match the cash flows of the business.
Loans needed to assist the development of SMEs have been identified as follows:
- Short Term (less than one year) to support working capital, and,
- Medium Term fixed asset acquisition loans of one to five years.
ICBG intends to develop new loan products in the future.
ICBG has considered the pricing and guarantee fees of loan guarantee programs both regionally and internationally, in addition to considering the conditions prevailing in Iraq as a basis for establishing its own guarantee fee and pricing structure.
